So normally, when people blame video games for the ills of society, I just immediately give them a hearty "fuck you" and tune out.

On the other hand though, this sounds way to familiar.

So I'm in Toronto this week and I'm staying in a Hilton. You know what's disappointing? They don't offer One Night in Paris on Spanktravision. What gives?

Twelve

So yeah, I picked up Twelve and only played for about an hour or an hour and a half last night. Here are my overall impressions thus far:

- The game is really pretty. Granted, it's the end of the PS2's life cycle, but the game still looks really good. There are beautiful, action packed cinematics and the standard gameplay looks great as well.
- Voice acting is not terrible. Maybe it's just because I've cooled it on the anime, but some of the voices actually sound appropriatly cast to me. I could be wrong about this, but I wasn't offended.
- The battle system is the big one. Sorry guys, but this isn't a Final Fantasy game as far as I'm concerned. It's real time and it's interesting but it's very hands off in comparison to what I'm used to. Set a command and let it do it's thing. Still, I may get into it in the future.
- I spent an hour playing as a character that died. That was interesting.

So yeah, that's it for now. I think I'll finish Dragon Quest VIII and Chrono Trigger first, but at this point, I'll bite.
